Lennord, one of the Legates of Lord Nergal and master archivist
-----------------------------------------------------
Lennord asks 'My name is Lennord, I am the master archiviest and one of the Legates of Lord Nergal. How may I help you on this rotten day?'

1: Who is Lord Nergal

2: What do we do here?

3: How do I proceed?

Enter your choice: 1

You grumble 'Who is Lord Nergal.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Lennord says 'Nergal, also known as the Plague Lord, is the Chaos God of Disease, Decay, Death and Destruction. In particular, the emotion of despair of sick mortals and knowledge of evolution empowers him. He is known also as 'Grandfather Nurgle,' the 'Lord of Pestilence' and the 'Lord of Decay.' He is one of the four Chaos Gods to fully awake in this cosmos. He is one we follow and one we obey without question. He guides us to better world.. HIS world! We follow his plan to salvation '

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'What do we do here?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Lennord says 'We are here to assist our Lord in his quest to gain evolutionary insight of all the creatures of this realm, and with that knowledge he is able to infect the world with his gift and thus cure the world of the weakness that is hindering it. We assist him by researching evolution of the living creatures as well as testing how subjects react to his gifts. We carry our mission by subduing living beings of this world and as they are under our command they act as instruments of our Lords will.'

Enter your choice: 3

You ask 'How do I proceed?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Lennord says 'Go forth and meet the other Legates within this Tree. You can find Aarun near the flames, next top cave in north. I'mul is standing right few paces north of me and Eevo'c is standing west of me near the other cave entrance. All of them provide useful and needed information for you to succeed in your mission. You should start by learning all the required skills and spells at the four blue flames right at the center of this tree.'

I'mul, one of the Legates of Lord Nergal and master evolutionist

-----------------------------------------------------

I'mul asks 'My name is I'mul, I am the master evolutionist and one of the Legates of Lord Nergal. How may I help you on this putrid day?'

1: Offer me a research task.

2: What are these tasks?

Enter your choice: 1

You grumble 'Offer me a research task.'

-----------------------------------------------------

I'mul says 'I wonder how challenging your research task can be.. I can offer you different levels of challenges, based on your preference. Small research tasks are rather quick and easy to complete whereas hard ones are, well.. hard and more time consuming.'

1: I am fine with easy task

2: I'll help with medium task

3: I am sure I can handle hard task

Enter your choice: 1

You grumble 'I am fine with easy task.'

-----------------------------------------------------

I'mul says 'Here you are, remember to read what the research note says and use this vase to complete the task.' I'mul hands you the research note attached to tiny vase.

Enter your choice: 2

You grumble 'I'll help with medium task.'

-----------------------------------------------------

I'mul says 'Here you are, remember to read what the research note says and use this vase to complete the task.' I'mul hands you the research note attached to tiny vase.

Enter your choice: 3

You grumble 'I am sure I can handle hard task.'

-----------------------------------------------------

I'mul says 'Here you are, remember to read what the research note says and use this vase to complete the task.' I'mul hands you the research note attached to tiny vase.

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'What are these tasks?'

-----------------------------------------------------

I'mul says 'As a master evolutionist, it is my duty to make sure research for our evolution progresses as scheduled. It is important that everyone do as much as they can to help, as Lord Nergal doesn't tolerate delays. You can help by completing tasks for me. These tasks require you to find specific specimen of a race or certain monster of which I need research from.'

Aarun, one of the Legates of Lord Nergal

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun asks 'My name is Aarun. I am one of the chosen Legates of Lord Nergal here in this realm. What can I do for you young one?'

1: What is this place?

2: I want to help! Where do I sign up?

3: What powers does Lord Nergal grant to his followers?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'What is this place?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'This is our base of operations. From here, we study the evolutions of all living things, and spread the teachings of Lord Nergal, the God of Rot.'

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'I want to help! Where do I sign up?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'In the temple of chaos, not far from here. You will need to pledge yourself to chaos before Lord Nergal can accept you.'

Enter your choice: 3

You ask 'What powers does Lord Nergal grant to his followers?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Too many to list. Some must be earned, and others improve as you gain more insight into our ways. '

1: Tell me about our basic abilities.

2: I'd like to improve my own fighting abilities.

3: Tell me more about minions.

4: Tell me about auras and diseases.

5: Tell me about our studies of evolution.

6: Tell me about mutations.

7: Tell me about the Nergal masteries.

8: What are Chaotic Acts?

Enter your choice: 1

You grumble 'Tell me about our basic abilities.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Lord Nergal grants you use of parasites. Through these, you may capture minions and control their actions. You can also call forth a parasitic swarm, which inflicts periodic damage. There are also diseases which can be transformed into auras, and your minions can infect other living beings with those auras.'

Enter your choice: 2

You grumble 'I'd like to improve my own fighting abilities.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'To raise your stats and resistances, go speak to Eevo'c about the evolution trees. To gain fighting skills, you'll need to seek elsewhere. Our guild is focused on minions and boosting their behaviour.'

Enter your choice: 3

You grumble 'Tell me more about minions.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun asks 'There are two types of minions - common minions, and enthralled ones. Which type interests you?'

1: Tell me about the common minions.

2: Where can I find common minions?

3: How about the enthralled minions?

4: How do I enthrall minions?

5: How can I train enthralled minions?

6: How to heal my minions?

7: How do enthralled minions learn skills or spells?

8: How do I issue orders to my minions?

9: What is the cost of summoning and using minions?

Enter your choice: 1

You grumble 'Tell me about the common minions.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Common minions are creatures of the wilds, brought under our control. They retain the characteristics, skills, and spells that they had before, and these skills and spells are at our disposal. Common minions are disposable, they cannot survive the Armageddon, nor the departure of their master.'

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'Where can I find common minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'To control common minions, you will need to venture into the world and study its lifeforms. When you find a suitable one, you can use the 'enthralling parasite' spell to command the parasite to root into its spine and attempt to gain control over the creature. The creature must be sufficiently weakened for this to work, and your power determines how strong minions you can capture. Some types of creatures cannot be captured at all, and others will lose some of their powers. The 'evaluate host' spell can be used to check if a minion is suitable.'

Enter your choice: 3

You ask 'How about the enthralled minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Enthralled minions are fully under the control of their parasite. They remember nothing at all about their previous life, and lose all the knowledge and powers that they once had. Thus, when seeking to enthrall a minion, the only factor that matters is its race.'

Enter your choice: 4

You ask 'How do I enthrall minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'At the altar behind me, just bring a common minion and pray there to get started. Remember that race matters - ogres or trolls make poor spellcasters, you'll find. Don't forget also that freshly awakened, their minds are blank, like those of a newborn, and must be trained first. The enthralled minion can be dismissed with the 'end enthrallment' spell, and called back later with the 'awake enthralled' one. All you need to know is its true name - the parasite will report this to you, and you can check them at the altar as well. You can get rid of unused enthralled minions at the altar behind me.'

1: Where can I summon enthralled minions?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'Where can I summon enthralled minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'At the guildhall, or in a room with corrupted ground. There's a spell for that. Remember that unless you have evolved your minion knowledge, you will only be able to support one minion at a time.'

Enter your choice: 5

You ask 'How can I train enthralled minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'For that, you'll need to harvest the life energies of other beings - we call these energies 'vitae' and 'potentia'. Again, there are spells for that - 'harvest vitae' and 'reap potentia'. The process takes a while, so don't run off anywhere. Then, use the 'nourish enthralled' spell to empower your minions. Depending on which energy you use, the minion can become one of several types.'

1: Minion types?

2: How much potentia or vitae do I need?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'Minion types?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Aye. A minion nourished with enough vitae becomes a Plaguebearer - strong, but unable to cast spells. Conversely, a minion nourished with potentia is called Blightweaver - good spellcaster, but a poor fighter. A minion nourished with both evenly learns some of both, and is called Plaguereaper.'

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'How much potentia or vitae do I need?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'The more the better, of course. You can watch the progress on 'minion X stats'. Each level requires more than the previous one. Remember that vitae and potentia is used to empower some other spells, too.'

Enter your choice: 6

You ask 'How to heal my minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'The 'nourish enthralled' spell, again. Not only does it improve your minions, it also heals them. You can also use the regular healing spells, if you know any.'

Enter your choice: 7

You ask 'How do enthralled minions learn skills or spells?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'First, you'll need to capture a common minion that knows the desired spell or skill. Then, have the minion use it - after some uses, your parasite will learn the spell. The more your common minion uses the spell, the better it gets learned - check out 'nergal knowledge'. You should also note that there is a chance for you to forget some of the teachings over the time due complexity of them. Then, summon the enthralled minion and drink from the bowl in the guildhall to get started. Training spells costs vitae and potentia, as well as some of your own experience, depending on how well your parasite knows it - but worry not, you'll get it back when you reincarnate. Remember that unless you're evolved enough to be able to sustain more than one minion at a time, you'll need to dismiss the common minion first.'

1: Can minions lose the trained skills and spells?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'Can minions lose the trained skills and spells?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'A good observation, they indeed can. As your minions use their spells, they'll gradually lose their knowledge of it, and need to be re-taught again. Pay good attention to your minions, lest you find them unable to use a spell when you really need it. Minions also have a limit on how many spells they can learn, depending on their level.'

Enter your choice: 8

You ask 'How do I issue orders to my minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'You can order your minions to stay behind you and cast spells, or stand in front of you to protect you, or fight along with you. You can also direct them which spells to use on their own. Have a look at the 'nergal' and 'minion' commands. Finally, you can use the 'mind siphon' spell to order them to cast a specific spell. Remember that minions can't cast defensive spells on other players, nor can most such spells be cast on them'

Enter your choice: 9

You ask 'What is the cost of summoning and using minions?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Minions feed on your own powers. When you summon one, your stats get reduced. If you have the ability to summon more, your stats will get reduced even more.'

Enter your choice: 4

You grumble 'Tell me about auras and diseases.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Spreading diseases is an important duty of a follower of Lord Nergal, as they grant us insights into the evolution of various races. The diseases also weaken the targets, of course.'

1: What diseases are available?

2: How do I use diseases?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'What diseases are available?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'There are four, to use each, you'll need to study the corresponding spell. Foul drought makes your minions hits the target harder, Putrid blood can break their spells, Crippling frenzy prevents them from chasing, and Suppressing misery reduces their fighting abilities. The base diseases are quite weak, but you can evolve them into much potent forms, talk to Eevo'c about that.'

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'How do I use diseases?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Diseases can only be given by your minions, never directly. Use the 'embrace the gifts' skill to activate a disease aura - this will give your minions a chance to pass the disease along each time they attack their target. This even works with spells. Remember that like most ongoing effects, having an active aura will drain you, reducing your maximum spell points. You can see your active aura with 'nergal buffs'.'

Enter your choice: 5

You grumble 'Tell me about our studies of evolution.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Go talk to E'voc about that.'

Enter your choice: 6

You grumble 'Tell me about mutations.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'Gain enough power, and you may just stumble upon the knowledge of one. As a fresh Nergal, you needn't worry about these.'

Enter your choice: 7

You grumble 'Tell me about the Nergal masteries.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'There are four. Morphology covers the usage of your own abilities, Conduit of the hive improves your control over your minions, Immunology improves your mastery of diseases, and Evolutionary apex measures your total progression. Lord Nergal will let you train the first three depending on how powerful you are, and as for the last one, you'll want to talk to E'voc.'

Enter your choice: 8

You ask 'What are Chaotic Acts?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Aarun says 'As you use our skills and progress in the guild, performing certain actions will grant you a Chaotic Act. Some acts are fairly simple - you'll get your first one shortly after joining, I'm thinking. Others are harder to get, but grant more benefits, too. Experiment, use the skills, and be rewarded. You can visit the hall of seats, north from here to view your progression.'

Eevo'c, one of the Legates of Lord Nergal

----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c exclaims 'Halt there! I am Legate Eevo'c!'

1: Why do we study evolution?

2: How do I get evolution points?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'Why do we study evolution?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c says 'To expand our own abilities - right here behind me, in the chambers of evolution. There are three evolutionary trees available. As you improve your knowledge of evolution, you can expand your knowledge in one of the evolutionary branches - Minions, Stats, and Disease. Remember that knowledge is linked - you cannot learn the more advanced topics until you have learned the basic ones.'

1: Tell me about the minions branch.

2: Tell me about the stats branch.

3: Tell me about the disease branch.

Enter your choice: 1

You grumble 'Tell me about the minions branch.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c says 'This branch empowers your minions. The first abilities are crucial, as they grant them basic combat skills. Later, you'll learn how to improve their stats and resistances, speed up their casting, and even how to control more than one minion at a time. A very important branch for any Nergal to learn.'

Enter your choice: 2

You grumble 'Tell me about the stats branch.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c says 'This branch focuses on your own body. You can improve your stats, regenerative abilities, resistances, and more.'

Enter your choice: 3

You grumble 'Tell me about the disease branch.'

-----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c says 'This branch empowers your auras and diseases. They will last longer, have a stronger effect, and eventually may even provide extra benefits to you.'

Enter your choice: 2

You ask 'How do I get evolution points?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c says 'By expanding your knowledge of evolution of various lifeforms. Also, the 'Evolutionary apex' mastery skill is granted to you by Lord Nergal to keep track of these things.'

1: Cool, but how to I gain this knowledge?

Enter your choice: 1

You ask 'Cool, but how to I gain this knowledge?'

-----------------------------------------------------

Eevo'c says 'The best way is to gather vitae and potentia from various beings - if you manage to harvest everything that a creature possesses, your knowledge of evolution will expand. Another good way of gaining evolutionary insight is to complete the research tasks for Legate I'mul. You will also gain knowledge of race evolution when you slay a creature while it's affected by your disease'
